The woman that run the place was about 6'4 and very powerfully built. She took a liking in me, a 21 year old kid, very skinny and 6' tall. She was exactly twice my age. She wanted me to help her to carry a bed to the top floor. Quite heavy but I could just manage, she didn't have any problem lifting her end. After I had helped her she suddenly hugged me to her big body, lifting me in a bear hug. She squeezed harder and harder and suddenly one of my ribs popped! Since I had very little muscle and no fat the bone had to take all the pressure from her strong arms. I almost fainted from the pain and the lady drow me to the hospital very worried and full of sorrow. At the hospital the asked how this happened, the Dutch told the truth and the female doctor first smiled but then asked me if I wanted to call the police. I of course said no. After this I stayed an extra week for free at the hostal, my strong land lady taking care of me. She had been a basket player but told me she was born very strong. I came back the following year and I once again got a hug from her but this time she didn't squeeze to hard. I stayed for free again at her place and actually became her lover, but that is another story. I estimate that she was probably twice as strong as me but with a big warm heart.
