It depends on whether males and females are children, adolescents or adults. In the adult world, I believe males have the upper hand if they are highly successful in life while females have the upper hand if they are SMOKING HOT!!! That's because, as a rule, males are judged by their level of achievement and their assets along with their rank (their $tatu$ in life) while, as a rule, females are judged not by titles (letters) after their surnames but by their looks. This is the way it has been for countless thousands of years. The ancient Egyptians are a perfect example.
