Many people believe in the so-called "power of prayer" including those in Haiti who "prayed" that there would never be an earthquake there. Now look at how many are dead and continue dying? YOU ARE RIGHT ON THAT,whom I believe is "tall skinny weak man". Religion is the opium for the masses. It is done far more harm than good for the world. But here we are- such poverty right in our our own hemisphere. It was very bad, even before the quake. I have HJatian friends. they tell me the conditions they grew up in were beyond horrible. Such poverty in time could provide a risk in our security. Secondly being that we are the most wealthiest nation, how could we have something like this near our borders? Mexico is poor, but Haiti is totally impoverished. I dont see how we can have such a country on our borders without doing something about it. I have suggested an overthrow of the goverment. A person I talked today even suggested, we should annex them as a new state in the union. The latter I dont think would work. But we have to do something. Such extreme poverty will lead to violence, revolutions and security risks for us. Something has to be done!
