This is an interesting poll. You ask who is the smartest person in the world yet give us a list of idiots When one is outclassed intellectually, what to do in order to save face? Ah, yes, call people "idiots" under the cover of anonymity. Such courage is typical of people who can only recite liberal talking points. How revealing. I am also familiar with all on the list here except Cunningham. I don't think any of them expects us to believe that any one of them is the smartest person in the world. I also don't believe any of them (or anyone else) is unbiased. I would rather use the term "unbiased" than "fair and balanced," the latter of which is pretty much the slogan for The FOX News Channel. I am in my late fifties. I have been tuning in to talk programs for DECADES!!! This should not be a question of who is the smartest person in the world. This should be more a question of which one can garner THE HIGHE$T PO$$IBLE RATING$ for his or her talk program, thereby capturing the widest and most diversified target demographic (MA$$IVE AUDIENCE!!!) for that radio and/or TV talk program (enabling the network to charge, as Limbaugh clearly and correctly points out, ?ONFI$?ATORY FEE$!!!) and also which one of those talk program hosts can $ell the highest number of ?opie$ of their own book$. THAT is what makes them $MART!!! Because I remain a charged-up male who has already had plenty of experience with ladies, my favorite talk program host, before he left the airwaves due to a format change of the flagship station (I hope he returns soon!!!) is: TOM LEYKIS!!! Now someone else will need to instruct as many guys as possible TO TEACH MEN HOW TO GET MORE TAIL FOR LESS MONEY and also TO TEACH WOMEN HOW MEN THINK!!! He is a very knowledgeable man who was on Reagan's staff and now has a radio show out of New York. I like Hannity, but find him a bit boring at times, like he's just reciting a laundry list over and over. He makes good points, but his presentation is a bit tired. I would lean more toward inventors and people who figured out how to do something that has never been done and the nature of our society is such that we do not know who most of these people are. Einstein was recognized as probably the most pronounced intellect of the middle of the 20th century. I am not sure there is a comparable person today in the public eye. He or she may exist at conferences and seminars but the public eye is basically for entertainers rather than R & D people. As I clearly pointed out in Comment #3, Leykis is off the air only because the flagship station (KLSX in Los Angeles) changed to a different format. LET'S NOT EVADE THE ISSUE HERE!!! Leykis has repeatedly pointed out that when it comes to gender issues, IT'S WAR OUT THERE!!! This means: She is always out TO GET INTO HIS WALLET while he is always out TO GET INTO HER VAGINA!!! The Leykis program was a live national radio talk program AIMED AT MEN from coast to coast for over a decade and that included the large Honolulu radio market (one million residents in the City and County of Honolulu). Regardless of why Leykis is CURRENTLY off the air, the fact is, most ladies who tuned in to the program had (and still have) no palate for the truth that Leykis was putting forth about male-female issues. Leykis has always pointed out how important a woman's BEAUTY is (if she is fortunate enough to possess it) when it comes to attracting a man of $TATU$ and how important a man's $TATU$ is (if he works hard enough at earning it) when it comes to attracting a woman of BEAUTY. In other words, regardless of how "times have changed," no matter how much of a degreed professional she is, if he has $TATU$, he still wants her to be HOT!!! Likewise, no matter how tall, good looking or well-built he is, if she possesses BEAUTY, she still wants him to have $TATU$!!! Leykis always pointed out how adept women are at bringing up exceptions to the rule ("man bites dog"), firing back at such women by correctly stating that EXCEPTIONS DO NOT INVALIDATE THE RULE!!! There is no substitute for THE TRUTH. Even if Leykis never hits the airwaves again, YOU SIMPLY CANNOT ALTER THE TRUTH!!! Leykis is off the air because he has not demonstrated that he can generate enough advertising revenue to be effective. KeithJan 09 2010 11:18pm What Leykis has correctly pointed out over the many years that he has been on the air is that if a girl uses a guy to try getting whatever she can get from him (that usually means HIS MONEY!!!), a guy has the same right to use a girl to try getting whatever he can get from her (that usually means HER VAGINA!!!). Sometimes the guy wins (which means the girl loses!!!) and sometimes the girl wins (which means the guy loses!!!). This is NOT prostitution where there is an even exchange of MONEY FOR VAGINA. In other words, when the girl wins, she gets the guy's money but he does not get her vagina and when the guy wins, he gets the girl's vagina but she does not get his money. Vos Savant is the equivalent of a talk show host except that She is a columnist. However, I am willing to concede that when one has no objective accomplishments but is able to build a career on claiming to be the smartest person in the world, that IS evidence for the proposition that She might be right. Jefferson had difficulty with slavery issues in his own family and mishandled relations with Britain. Why he would rank ahead of Madison, Franklin, Jay or any of those other people is beyond me. Hitler was perversely brilliant, Genghis Khan was probably the most effective military-political leader in history. What about the person who figured out how to start fire from scratch or invented the wheel. Although he can fly off the handle at times, he brings a refreshing element of sincerity and honesty to the media. Rather than being a political talking point machine, he challenges the so called conventional wisdom the rest of them drone on about. He covers many issues and subjects outside of the political realm, and offers a rare human insight into everything he encounters. I highly recommend The Savage Nation. How about SCIENCE FANTASTIC with PROFESSOR MICHIO KAKU? Also, there is a national radio talk program about LAW!!! How about HANDEL ON THE LAW with BILL HANDEL("Marginal legal advice where I tell you you have ABSOLUTELY NO CASE!!!")? He has an incredible sense of humor (I'm out to ruin your whole day, maybe even YOUR WHOLE LIFE!!!) and he is more outspoken about controversial issues than just about anyone.
