Those three females in that car could just as easily have been arguing over which one among them is the hottest!!! That alone is enough to cause an accident and if that is what happened and one of those girls decided not to keep quiet about it, that would also be enough for the family of the 13-year-old who was struck TO PUT THOSE LAWYERS TO WORK!!! Females all too often argue about stuff like that, especially while guys are not around. Even if that 13-year-old was in a car, you cannot simply assume that he left out what you claim "probably happened." The truth is, women behind the wheel are every bit as careless as men behind the wheel. I was struck down by a car driven by a man while I was walking on the sidewalk where the pedestrian ALWAYS has the right of way!!! I can sympathize with INNOCENT VICTIMS OF PURE CARELESSNESS!!! I almost lost my right leg which was shattered. My whole life was suddenly turned upside down. I spent the better part of a month in the hospital; I had three blood transfusions; and I was confined to a wheelchair for over six months (THAT'S ALMOST TWO HUNDRED DAYS!!!). Just like the 13-year-old, I was forced to pay the price for someone else's PURE CARELESSNESS!!! The careless male driver who struck me down could just as easily have been a careless female driver WHICH MANY OF THEM ARE!!! This is based on liability risk, which is determined by accident and violation statistics. There are always exceptions to any rule, but the the poll question does not refer to exceptions. Overall, women are vastly more competent behind the wheel, it is a proven fact which insurance companies base their entire institution on. Women have more receptor rods in their eyes improving peripheral vision, so women literally see more of what's going on around them. Women have better vision at night being able to see more of the infra red spectrum. Women have quicker reactions, having superior hand to eye coordination. Insensitive comments, such as those above, about factual statistics as well as about baseless claims are obviously made by individuals or groups who themselves were never struck down by a motor vehicle weighing thousands of pounds and who, therefore, never had to endure such pain and suffering as myself and that 13-year-old. I beieve that anyone who would make such comments while claiming that they were struck down by a car would be LYING LIKE RUGS!!! If they are ever unfortunate enough to be struck down by a heavy vehicle and seriously injured, especially with a woman behind the wheel (which I hope for their sake never happens), they would not be so quick to brag about male vs female driving statistics. Women on average pay lower auto insurance premiums. Yes, that is indeed a fact. SO WHAT!!! Women continue to die in motor vehicle accidents due to their own carelessness (THAT INCLUDES DRUNK DRIVING!!!), often taking others, including innocent victims, to the grave right along with them.
