My sister is one year older than me. She used to overpower me in various ways and easily beat me at armwrestling and wrestling. Sometimes she beat me up more seriously. She really enjoyed dominating me. Sometimes it was fun for me, but many times I was humiliated and angry. By the time I was 14 and she was 15 I was getting to be as big as her. She could still overpower me, but not so effortlessly. I made her work harder and it took longer for her to beat me but she was always victorious unless she was feeling generous and let me win. She also got more cruel in her teasing after she beat me. Its too bad your sister was so mean. Did she stop after she was 15? AnonymousJan 02 2006 8:06pm She didn't stop on her own. I kept growing and she didn't. She got the biggest kick out of overpowering me after I grew a couple inches taller than her. At first I was kind of long and stringy compared to her smaller more powerful build (she was the jock in the family). Finally as I was approaching my 16th birthday she came after me one day. I managed to slam my elbow into her belly a couple times as she tried to take me down. Then I went on the offensive and managed to pin her. After that she was pretty wary about challenging me and she usually lost. It was kind of an anticlimax the way that I went so suddenly from underdog to dominant and how her attitude went from smug dominance to submissive feminine. She used to love to beat me in wrestling and when we actually got into fights, she was usually the winner. We wrestled up until we were 18. She was still winning most of our matches. Still bigger and stronger. Wish she was still able to wrestle but her husband won't let her. Would love to see whether she is still stronger or not though. I'd bet she still is. I kind of wanted her to but she never really tried untill this one time. I was really being bratty to her in front of our mother. My sister asked our mom if she had permission to beat me up and our mom said ok. My sister came at me, and I unfortunately let loose with a lucky punch which landed on he mouth and caused her to stop comming at me and to scream and cry. I was so upset and concerned that I had hurt her that I cried too. That was the end of that and my sister never tried it again. I am really sorry that happened because I would have loved to have had my big sister bully me a bit and often wonder what it would have been like if she had beaten me up periodically when we were kids. By the way, I remember that line from "Hotel New Hampshire" novelist refers to and had all kinds of thoughts about it when I read it. That is why older sisters can usually beat up their younger brothers when they are kids. I know if I had not by pure luck (maybe bad luck)gotten off that punch, my sister would have beaten me up pretty badly or at least until my mom decided she had punished me enough and told her to stop. In fact, now I remeber another incident many years later, when I was in first year of High School. I was annoying my sister as she was trying to iron her blouse, and she pushed me away from her and down to the ground quite easily. She just went back to her ironing though, and did not pin me or continue beating me up in any way . I sure didn't feel like a born warrior then. I guess that is why I didn't remember that incident when I posted the last time about when I got off that punch to her mouth. I don't remeber any other times she came at me though. My mother became very embittered by the experience and developed a hatred of men that she and my sister took out on me. I was forbidden to play sports. My sister (who was 3 years older) and her fiends were always allowed (dare I say encouraged) to beat the crap out of me, many times in front of my friends. I basically grew up convinced I was a spase/wimp, but I did excel academically. I grew up very unathletic and scared that I would be physically embarrassed by a girl/woman. But I turned it into a positive by spending my time studying instead of in typical boyhood pursuits. I also think it gave me more repect for and from women in the long run. TadFeb 27 2006 3:28am No, we really don't speak about it, except she'll make comments to my wife occasionally about how she's better in sports, etc... and that my wife should show me who's boss if I get out of line. She (or her friends)continued to beat me up right up until I went away to college. After that, it stopped, and we never talk about it. I ask because, as you might have read from my prior comment here about my older sister, I have often wondered what it would have been like to have been beaten up by her when we were kids. My wife and I wrestle around and she probably thinks she can take me, but she's never let it show in her actions. I think my wife is just happy knowing that we're physical equals. It makes her think I'm more sensitive to her needs because I'm not a dominate male. His mother was divorced and worked so after school, the older daughter was in charge until their Mom got home from work. She would beat the crap out of him when we were younger. He would keep pestering her until she would get mad and she would make short work of it pinning him down and punching him sometimes until he cried. He was persistent though and the next day he would try again. When we were 11 or 12, we realized that he was now a little taller than his sister but probably about 10 pounds lighter. She was about 5'3" 125 and he was 5'4" and 115 or so. The fights got closer but she could still get him down and make him cry. After a couple of years, his Mom decided he was old enough to stay by himself and his older sister didn't have to hang around so very seldom would she come home before her Mom. The last time I saw them fight, he was about 16 and now 5'9" or 5'10" and around 150 - 160 lbs. His sister was now 21 and still 5'3" and probably 125 or maybe 130. I can't remember what started the argument but she got mad at him and locked him out of the house. He was furious and literally kicked the door open. He went after her and I was actually a little afraid of her safety since he was so mad. They got into a physical knock down drag out right in the middle of the living room floor and much to my suprise a couple of minutes later, he had a swollen eye, a bloody lip, and she was on top pinning him down and just pummeling him. He started to cry and begged her to stop. She finally felt sorry for him and stopped but I think he finally learned his lesson and I never saw them fight again. Do you think he was so psyched out by prevailing in a fight with him from when he was younger that he just couldn't mentally do what it would take to beat her even when he was physiclly able to? No matter what we did, whether it was athletic or not, I could sense her power and it gave me a special thrill. Even in the US, opportunities for wrestling girls depend a lot on luck. That last match was competitive, but not as much I expected. I was afraid she'd pin me, but she never came close. I think this was for a few reasons. First, I was bigger and heavier than her. Second, she was very strong all over, but I don't think the rest of her body was quite on par with those powerful arms. Finally, she knew even less about wrestling than I did. She tried to use brute force to control me and I think she tired much more quickly than I did. She was so drained that if we had armwrestled right after the wrestling match, I might have won-lol. He was a couple years younger than her and she was so much stronger than him that she could easily dominate him. He got disciplined about working out regularly. One day they had a long tough match and he made her submit. He was on top of the world and she felt humiliated. They had a few more close matches, but he kept getting stronger and more aggressive.
