I have been to, and traveled within, New Zealand, Japan, Australia and SOUTH Korea (it is ILLEGAL for Americans to travel to North Korea under all but the most special of circumstances). I enjoyed all four countries although I felt a bit nervous while I was in South Korea and I was also quite disappointed while I was there because photography was forbidden in some interesting spots especially from points high up. They were (and most likely still are) PARANOID about their threatening "sibling" to the north. I have no favorites among the four. I have never been to Taiwan or Thailand.
